Endress, a power generator manufacturer based in Germany that has been in business since 1914, showed off its N67 200 kW Stage V engine at Bauma 2019, which ran from April 8th through the 14th in Munich, Germany. The 6.7-liter, six-cylinder in-line engine generates 200 kilowatts of gross standby power. The N67 200 kW is unique in that it features a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) aftertreatment system but is still the same size as other unregulated models. It also has oil service intervals of up to 600 hours for easier maintenance.

    FPT Industrial HI-eSCR2

One of the most important features of the Endress N67 200 kW engine is the HI-eSCR2 aftertreatment system from FPT Industrial, which has already proven successful for off-road, agriculture-focused solutions, but is also well-suited for power generators. This system ensures that the engine is EGR (exhaust gas recirculation)-free, which means it “does not need additional cooling nor maintenance when compared to the brand’s current Stage IIIA products,” according to FPT Industrial. The company adds that the system “is extremely flexible since it can be installed both horizontally and vertically, front and top engine mounted.”

    Quiet, Efficient & Environmentally Friendly

By combining Endress’ power generator expertise with FPT Industrial’s aftertreatment system, the N67 200 kW engine meets all Stage V requirements, which became mandatory earlier this year and require a 90% reduction in NOx and 93% reduction in particulate matter emissions. The engine is also quieter than previous models, which makes it a fit for urban applications, and offers improved fuel efficiency for a lower overall total cost of ownership.
