Substantial Stationary Standby Power With Cat’s New GC Diesel Gensets
Caterpillar’s completely new GC line of standby power solutions are designed for applications in 60Hz operating environments and range from 250 electric kilowatts (312.5 kilovolt-ampere) to 600 ekW (750 kVA). In total, the Cat GC lineup consists of eight new diesel generator sets. Each of the units is EPA-certified for Stationary Emergency Application and includes Cat’s customary two-year warranty for standby power solutions.
Optimized For Productivity
Gensets from the GC lineup can be equipped with Cat Connect Remote Asset Monitoring for data visualization, reporting, and alerts about their status. Operators and managers can access Remote Assist Monitoring from anywhere in the world through the online interface. Top-of-line models, like the Cat D550 GC (550 ekW) and Cat D600 GC (600 ekW), feature a Cat C18 ACERT in-line six, four-cycle diesel engine, while lower-energy models, like the Cat D250 GC (250ekW) and Cat D300 GC (300ekW) utilize a Cat C9 ACERT in-line six, four-cycle diesel engine.
Reliability & Value
Cat engineers the GC lineup with common parts to minimize downtime and reduce installation costs. “Customers with standby power needs are seeking systems with an optimized combination of capabilities that deliver the productivity and dependability they need while minimizing purchasing and installation costs,” says Jason Kaiser, general manager for Caterpillar Retail Electric Power Solutions. “The new Cat GC diesel generator sets have been specifically engineered to offer these customers Caterpillar performance in a valuable package that provides the most commonly specified capabilities.” Parts and service, for example, are available globally from Cat’s authorized service and dealer network.
