Kohler Reveals Three New Light Commercial Generators
Kohler recently announced the addition of the new 25CCL, 30CCL, and 36CCL models to its industrial light commercial generator lineup. All of these 60-hertz generators are stationary and designed specifically for use in emergency situations. They include 2.2-liter turbocharged engines that can run on liquid propane or natural gas, and that take advantage of Kohler’s APM402 controller, which can be used to control and meter the generators and run diagnostics.
“Providing between 25kW and 36kW of reliable backup power, these three models are the ideal size for a wide variety of commercial and light industrial settings,” says Amy Haese, associate product manager for Kohler generators. “With our APM402 controller, these new units offer comprehensive system monitoring and diagnostics while the Kohler turbocharged engine delivers proven reliability and performance in the field. We believe there’s a significant market for these new generators, which are loaded with beneficial features.”
Reliable, Quiet & Covered
Kohler designed its new generators with advanced voltage and frequency regulation and lower harmonic distortion levels, so they not only perform well, but also give extra protection to electronics. Each unit has a sound-attenuating aluminum enclosure to help them run quietly. With the proper accessories installed to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) specifications, Kohler’s new generators will meet NFPA 110, Level 1 standards, which directly apply to emergency power systems. Kohler backs up each generator with a five-year or 2,000-hour warranty.
More On Kohler Gaseous Generators
Kohler’s larger lineup of generators includes models that offer anywhere between 20 and 1,300 kilowatts of power. They typically run on either natural gas or liquid propane, but there are some dual-fuel models that can automatically switch from one source to the other. The lighter generators are typically designed for temporary power during emergencies, whereas heavy industrial generators can be used for backup, extra energy during peak hours, or as continuous power sources.
